Richang Waterfall (also called Richhang or Risang Waterfall) is located in Khagrachhari District. It has another name in Tripura language which is Terangtoi Waterfall (তেরাংতৈ কালাই ঝর্ণা). It would take about 40 minutes if you start hiking from the waterfall gate to reach the waterfall. This waterfall is unique and popular as the sliding fall. Now you will see stairs which directly leads you to the base of the waterfall.
Take extra pair of pants if you want to take slides there. Take shoes with good grip would be helpful especially in the rainy season.
There are two steps of this waterfall. The 1st tier is located about hundred meters above from the base tier.
How to go: If you want to go from Dhaka, there are couple of bus services such as Shyamoli Paribahan, Soudia Paribahan, Shanti Paribahan, Saintmartin Paribahan (AC Bus), BRTC (AC Bus). If you are going from Chittagong to Khagracchari, there is a bus service named Shanti Paribahan from Oxygen mor. You have to get off form bus in Khagrachhari Shapla Chottor (শাপলা চত্তর). From there you can go by Zeep, Chander Gari or CNG to reach near Waterfall. From there you have to take a stroll to reach Richang Waterfall.
