Tinap Saitar Waterfall is located in Paindu in Bandarban district. The local name of this waterfall is Paindu Saitar. This waterfall is one of the largest waterfall in Bangladesh and also located in the most remote zone. Now a days the waterfall is being popular as Niagara Falls of Bangladesh to the Bangladeshi travelers.
How to go: There are couple of routes you can go to visit Tinap Saitar.
Route 1: This is the most convenient route. Bandarban to Ruma Bus stand to Betel para to Ata para.
From Ruma you can take zip or chander gari. Cost to reserve a zip is around 2000 Taka. After getting Ata para, it would take about 2 hours trekking to reach Tinap Saitar waterfall.
Route 2: The route is the toughest route. Bandarban to Roangchari to Ronin para. After reaching Bandarban you have to go to Roangchari. From there you have to go by feet to Ronin para. You have to walk about 20 kilo meter from Roangchari to Ronin para. After spending the night in Ronin para, you have to start trekking for Tinap Saitar in the morning. The trekking route is kind of difficult here. The distance is about 13 Kilo meter from Ronin para to Tinap Saitar.
Where to stay: There is no such hotel to stay when you will visit Tinap Saitar. The waterfall is located in the remote place. So, it would be better idea to visit there with traveling group so that there will be some arrangements.
Important: Sometimes Bangladesh Army does not allow to go visit Tinap Saitar/Paindu Saitar. It is really not safe to go through that route without taking necessary permission.
