Lalbagh Fort (Lalbagh Kella): Lalbagh Fort (Lalbagh Kella) also known as Fort Aurangabad) is an incomplete Mughal fort building of 17th Century. Lalbagh Fort is situated in Lalbagh near Buriganga River in Dhaka.
Ahsan Manzil: This is a magnificent building which was the castle of Dhaka Nawab Family. The construction period of this palace is 1859 to 1872.
Hussaini Dalan: Another historic architecture situated in Old Town of Dhaka City built in 17thCentury. This was considered was the residence of the religious leader Imam.
Bara Katra (Boro Katra): Bara Katra is a historic monuments located in south Chowk Bazar, Dhaka. It was constructed between 1644 and 1646 CE.
Choto Katra: This one also built in Mughal’s regime, located in Dhaka. This is termed as Choto Katra or Small Katra because this is little smaller than Bara Katra.
University of Dhaka: The University of Dhaka started it’s day in 1st July of 1921. This is the oldest university of Bangladesh.
Old High Court: Old High Court is one of the magnificent architectural example of Renaissance style. The establishment year of this building is 1947.
Baitul Mukarram Mosque: This is the national mosque of Bangladesh that was completed in 1968. The mosque is featured with several architectural designs.
Shaheed Minar: A national monument established in 1952 in the memory of those who were killed during the language movement demonstration for Bengali Language.
Jatiyo Sriti Shoudho: Another significant national monument in memory of all martyrs in the Bangladesh Liberation war of 1971. The construction of this monument completed in 1982. It’s located in Savar, Dhaka.
Jatiyo Sangsad Bhaban (National Assembly Building): This is the national parliament house of Bangladesh which is located in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar of Dhaka. The construction was completed in 1982.
Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection:This church is situated in Armanitola area of Dhaka which is a historic monument with the significance of Armenian community in the region.
Khan Mohammad Mridha Mosque: This historical mosque is situated in the area of Atashkhana in Lalbah Road near Lalbagh Fort of Dhaka. The construction completion year of this mosque is 1706 AD.
Star Mosque (Tara Mashjid): Star mosque is a tourist attraction in old Dhaka located in Armanitola area. It was built by Mirza Golam Pir in 19th Century.
Dhakeshwari Temple (Dhakeshwari Mondir):This Hindu temple is located in old Dhaka. This is being considered as the main Hindu Temple in Dhaka city. The temple was built by Ballal Sen in 12thCentury.
Dharmarajika Buddhist Temple: This temple is also known as Bashabo Buddha Mondir or International Buddhist Temple and located in Bashabo area, Dhaka. This is the main Buddhist temple and monastery that was built in 1962.
Holy Rosary Church: This is a Roman Catholic Church located in Tejgaon area of Dhaka. The church was constructed in 1677.
National Museum: The national museum of Bangladesh is located at Shahbag, Dhaka.
Swadhinata Stambha (Independence Monument): It’s a national monument in Suhrawardy Udyan area of Dhaka. The construction was completed of this monuments in 2013.
Liberation War Museum (Mukti Juddha Jadughar):The museum is all about the Liberation War of Bangladesh-1971. The museum was opened in 1996.
Drik Gallery: Drik Gallery was started in 1993. It’s located in Dhanmondi area of Dhaka.
Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts: The gallery was started in 2000. This gallery arranges exhibitions of fine arts.
Suhrawardi Udyan: This park is located near Ramna park.
Baldha Garden: This is a botanical garden with the collection of more than 670 species of plants. Baldha Garden’s total area is about 3.15 acres and located in Wari of Dhaka.
National Botanical Garden: This is another botanical garden located in Mirpur area of Dhaka that was established in 1961. The total area of this garden is about 210 acres.
Ramna Park: This park is famous for many festivals and events such as Pohela Boishakh fair, book fair, programs on Pohela Falgun etc.
Zia Uddan: The former name of this park was Chandrima Udyan. The park named after President Ziaur Raman. Because this is the place where he was buried.
Sadarghat River Port: This river port is situated in Sadarghat area of Dhaka on the Buriganga River. It is also famous as Sadarghat Launch Terminal and considered as one of the largest river ports in the world.
Dhaka Zoo: The zoo established in 1974 and located in Mirpur area of Dhaka. This is the national zoo of Bangladesh.
Sat Gambuj Mosque (Seven Domed Mosque -Mohammadpur):This mosque is a historic architecture located in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. Its remarkable features are its seven onion domes.
Ashulia Lake: Ashulia lake is located in Ashulia are of Dhaka. It’s a popular place for travelling through boat.
Kamalapur Railway Station: This is the largest railway station of Bangladesh situated in Kamalapur area of Dhaka. It was established in 1960.
Curzon Hall: This is a building for the Faculty of Science at the University of Dhaka. Before the establishment of the University of Dhaka, it was built as town hall in British ruling period.
Bangabandhu Memorial Museum: This was the residence of of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. This building turned into a memorial museum in 1997.
Shishu Park: This is an amusement park located in Shahbag area of Dhaka, established in 1979.
Bijoyketon Liberation War Museum: This is a memorial museum for Liberation war of Bangladesh. It is located in Shaheed Bashar Road of Dhaka Cantonment.
National Museum of Science & Technology: This museum is about science and technology. It has several galleries. This is an autonomous organization and established in 1965.
Bangladesh Military Museum: This museum is located in Bijay Sarani of Dhaka. This museum is all about Bangladesh military forces.
Mausoleum of three leaders: This historic monument refers the graves of three political leader of pre-liberation of Bangladesh. This was established in Shahbag area of Dhaka in 1963.
Sheikh Mujib- Agartala Case Memorial Museum: This museum is located in Shaheed Belayet Road, Dhaka Cantonment area.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre: This planetarium is located in Bijoy Sharani area of Dhaka. Previously it was named as Bhashani Novo Theatre.
Fantasy Kingdom: It’s a theme park located in Ashulia, Dhaka. It is one of the popular amusement park in Bangladesh. It has also a water park inside it with various rides.
Nandan Park: It’s another theme and water park located in Savar, Dhaka. It has many rides and fun in theme and water park.
Currency Museum (Taka Jadughar): Currency museum is located in Mirpur, Dhaka. It was launched by Bangladesh Bank. It displays paper notes and coins of Bangladesh.
Buriganga Eco-Park and Shipping Museum: This is an eco-park situated on the bank of the river Buriganga at Shyampur area in Dhaka.
Moinot Ghat: It’s a spectacular place beside river bank which a being popular in Bangladesh as a tourist place. Traveler called this place as “Choto Cox’s Bazar”. It’s located in Dohar, Dhaka.
Bangladesh Air Force Museum: This museum was established in 1987 and located in BAF Base Bashar, Dhaka Cantonment. It displays different phased out air craft and equipments, the aircrafts those took part in Liberation War.
